Oh, I know just how cold you are as I've been talking with my sister up there who said all she's been doing is feeding the fire in her house--her only source of warmth. Stay warm and cozy and healthy. Western New York is predicted to get to about 4 degrees later this week, but as you say, that's relatively balmy.

Have you been to Siuan's blog? According to her she lives in an area that is 2nd coldest in the W.O.R.L.D. I was shivering just reading her blog. (The link is on my blog in my blogroll.) I think she says they are hovering around -50. Nope, what she said was this: So here we are in our fourth! Say it again 4th week of this blistery cold weather! We’ve been in the -late 30 and -40’s for four weeks now. Oh God!! This is driving me batty and everyone else in the Yukon. "Today we were the 2nd, count that second coldest place in the world, yes, I said it ‘THe WORLD!!’ It’s crazy. We were only at about -50 today and only 2 degrees behind Siberia? Gosh, we are so cold right now." Now doesn't that just warm your little toes right up? ;) I'm with BA - I could not live in a climate that doesn't change seasons. I love the first snowfall. By February? I'll be bitching and wishing for a clime that has year round warmth. :D

YIKES. I like the cold. I long to move to a climate that actually experiences winter. But that's a little extreme for me. Stay warm!
